Independence Now, a Center for Independent Living, is a nonprofit organization created by and for people with disabilities. We are a resource and advocacy center that promotes independent living and equal access for people with all types of disabilities. Our mission: We advocate and embody independence and equality for all people with disabilities.
The role of our Marketing Specialist is to educate and build awareness of Independence Now with our referral network, people who need our services and the general public. We want to take our "brand" to the next level of professionalism and connections and pump up our social media so it steers readers to our website. Independence Now should be a “go-to” in the disability field, but we are not as well-known as we should be – help us change that!
This is a part-time, one year contract position responsible for carrying out the marketing priorities and objectives for the organization and reports directly to the Executive Director. The contract is being offered at $2000-$2500 per month depending on marketing experience and knowledge of the disability community.
Demonstrated skill in working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or Association Management Systems (AMS), proficiency in Salesforce is preferable. Competence in using an Email Marketing System (EMS) for email campaigns is needed. Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Candidates must have at least 2 years’ experience in marketing, membership, or communications and a related degree. Minorities and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
